Our Programs

Using the Motheread curriculum, The Wise Owl Parenting Company offers a literacy interevention class.  Although it sounds very technical, it is actually a very interactive, fun, and supportive class! We take a childrens book, look at it from an adults perspective, learn ways to make it fun for our children and play games in relation to the theme, such as how unique our children are, just as a bubble is, or how easily we can motivate our children, as it is to move a hoover glider! Inevitably, the class becomes a terrific group full of family members rich with experience, questions, advice, and support for one another! Watch for our next classes to begin! You will really enjoy the experience!

Thinking about the needs of Moore County, The Wise Owl Parenting Company was formed to support parents from pregnancy to their child’s 5th birthday. Parents have such an amazing job of teaching, supporting and disciplining their children, yet have few resources to learn what to expect so that they understand how to help their children in the most effective ways possible. This is where The Wise Owl Parenting Co. comes in. Let us teach you what is happening developmentally, with your child. Let us give you some activities to strengthen the skills that your child is naturally trying to improve on their own! Let us connect you with the resources in the community as needs arise, such as where to go to apply for childcare subsidy, Play therapy, WIC, or Medicaid. The Wise Owl Parenting Co. also offers screening using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire to make sure there are no developmental concerns. If there are concerns, we can refer you to the right places for help. The Wise Owl Parenting Co. is focused on personalized lesson plans developed specifically for your child! We use the Parents as Teachers curriculum which is an evidence based program, proven to be effective in supporting children and their families. We look forward to helping you and your family grow and learn together!
